1930s Houndstooth

Now that Fall is officially here I am excited to share some of my favorite Fall Vintage Inspired Styles, like this gorgeous 1930s Dress from Unique Vintage an Exclusive Stop Staring Design. A flattering wiggle with a fishtail flare skirt, & a few darling details like the black swiss polka dot mesh sleeve trims & scoop neck collar. The rich forest green hue on this gorgeous houndstooth pattern is so dreamy & I adore the 1930s color palette. Stop Staring never disappoints when it comes to Quality, I am always in awe when I receive a dress from them. The fit is perfect & really shows off my curves, however keep in mind that this material doesn't offer a whole lot of Stretch.
This style is a Unique Vintage Exclusive so you can only get it there!
Fall is one of my favorite seasons; I love the moody color palette the shades of green, brown, burgundy, & rusty orange hues are so lovely. I tend to shop for dress & separates that are Fall/Winter styles, so I am so excited to be able to wear them out now that the weather is cooler. I styled this look with my favorite Seamed Stockings & a pair of T - Strap heels. For a Classic Vintage Beauty look, I am wearing Besame Cosmetics Signature Lipstick color, in shade 1920's Besame Red.
My Husband came across this gorgeous Art Deco Building while on the road,
& we both thought it would be the perfect location to accent this 1930s look.
The Deco Lighting Fixtures & Gold Accented Glass Doors are so dreamy, & I felt like I strolled back in time.

Autumn in the 40s

It's Starting to feel like Autumn & the Smell of Pumpkin Spice is Everywhere...
Autumn is my favorite season, I can finally wear my favorite Fall Styles from Vivien of Holloway like the gorgeous Gold Lurex Slash PullOver Top & Cherry Wool Pencil Skirt. I paired my pullover sweater with a Bullet Bra to achieve that iconic 1940s Silhouette. I am wearing Besame Cosmetics 1946 Red Velvet Lipstick, which is an exact replica of a Burgundy Shade in the late 40s.
The Cherry Wool Pencil Skirt enhances my hourglass figure, the waist band pulls in my waist & enhances my hips which is something I look for in a Pencil skirt. The fabric is a soft Wool that is lined on the inside, it will definitely keep you warm during those chilly days & nights. The Lurex Slash Top is a softer Lurex Fabric that isn't itchy, the material is stretchy & really comfortable, I highly recommend them, you can also style this top with your favorite pair of high waisted trousers or cigarette pants. If you are looking for affordable 1940s inspired separates Vivien of Holloway is your place to shop!

BAD GIRL VIBES

Serious Bad Girl Vibes in todays Blog Post!
I am featuring the Zebra TroubleMaker Dress from Vixen by Micheline Pitt, this daring wiggle is perfect & you will definitely feel like a Vixen in it. Micheline creates such amazing prints & retro inspired styles that are perfect for all Body Types & Sizes,
 if you love Dan DeCarlo than Vixen by Micheline Pitt is your place to shop!
 I am definitely ready to join Josie & the Pussycats now, this Bold & Fierce print is jaw dropping in person, the fabric is soft & it is warm enough for those cooler days ahead. The Troublemaker dress is the perfect wiggle especially if you are looking for a wiggle that will make you feel like a Sassy Vixen.
I know a Bold Zebra Print can be a little intimidating but, you can style it casually chic by pairing it up with your favorite Faux Leather Jacket. If a leather jacket is not your style, a Baby Pink Denim Jacket or even a Cardigan will do the trick, pair it up with your favorite mules or some cute flats too! The Troublemaker is extremely comfortable, so if you are going out for dinner you won't have to worry, because this wiggle has some stretch to it. If the Zebra Print is to bold for you the TroubleMaker comes in Solid Colors as well such as Black, Red, Purple, & in a Gorgeous Leopard Print.

Femme Fatale || TWO

Taking a stroll in this lovely Collared Swing Dress from MissCandyFloss, the Blue & Grey Plaid Contrast makes for a lovely combination. I am definitely getting 1940s Femme Fatale Vibes in this beauty from their Femme Fatale Collection which I LOVE, I pretty much want to own every piece. When I first laid eyes on this swing dress I was captivated by its color palette & collared neckline, it reminded me of a style that a Detective Dame would wear in a 1940s Film Noir picture. I was inspired by 40s fashion, so I paired this lovely dress with some T-Strap heels, Seamed Stockings, & a Vintage Beret.
Keeping an overall 1940s aesthetic I wore my favorite Vintage Inspired
Beauty Products from Besame Cosmetics
Cashmere Foundation Stick in shade Bisque | 1915 Rose Delicate Rouge Blush | Vanilla Brightening Powder
| 1940s Cream Mascara | Cerise Masterliner Pencil | 1945 American Beauty Lipstick
Paired up with Just Wing It Lashes from House of Lashes
I love 1940s Business wear especially when it has that Feminine touch, one of my favorite styles of Vintage Business wear was the look that Lilli Ann achieved in the Blazer & Pencil Duo. I felt that it really embodied Elegance & Female Empowerment, which are the types of qualities that a Femme Fatale has. The fit & details are lovely, especially the Collared Button Blazer, it really is thee show stopper feature on this dress. The Plaid Pattern looks like an authentic vintage print & it is perfect for Fall & Winter.

Femme Fatale || ONE

1940s Femme Fatale Vibes in todays Fall Vintage Inspired Feature!
I am wearing a New Style from MissCandyFlossOfficial's Femme Fatale Collection, the Victoria Gia Jersey Pencil Skirt which is extremely comfortable & easy to walk in. The fabric is soft, stretchy, & warm for those cooler days ahead, the Victoria Gia skirt has some darling details like the Bow on the front, the Emerald Polka Dots, & the Mini Bow at the bottom.  I am wearing an XS with a 24-25 Waist & 34.5-35 Hips, there is wiggle room which means I can enjoy a good Chocolate Milkshake & still be comfortable.
I love that MissCandyFloss created a collection of Femme Fatale Day Wear, my aesthetic is very much inspired by Film Noir & Femme Fatales so I was eagerly waiting for this collection to launch.
I paired the Victoria Gia Skirt with a Vintage Collared Blouse that was gifted to me from my husbands Grandma. Her mother  was petite like me so she gifted me a few of her lovely Vintage Pieces, & I am so happy that I can pair them with Vintage Reproduction. This blouse paired up perfectly, & it really gives off that Femme Fatale Detective Vibe that I was going for. To achieve that 1940s look I am wearing 1946 Red Velvet Lipstick from Besame Cosmetics, Nude/Noir Glamour Seamed Stockings &  T - Strap Heels for an over all 40s aesthetic.
Of course I had to bring out my Vintage Film Camera as well to capture some mysterious events like any good detective would.

Extra Extra Read All About It!

Fall is almost here & I am already dressing for the season, wearing my favorite era in Fashion 1940s. I love 40s fashion especially the color palette with shades like Wine, Cream, Gold, Brown, & Noir. I just love that Warm Autumn palette it adds a nice contrast against my dark brown eyes & fair skin tone. I have been wanting to try High Waited Trousers from Unique Vintage for quite sometime, but I was always concerned about the length since I am 5"1. When I saw these lovely 1940s Sailor Style Trousers I just fell in love with the color & look, I decided to hem them. The result was perfect, this style actually makes me appear taller than I actually am, & I don't feel like I am drowning in fabric.
These High Waisted Trousers pair up wonderfully with this Cream Vintage Inspired Collared Button Up Blouse from Unique Vintage, it has such darling details like the ties on the sleeves & the vertical pleating down the front. This chiffon blouse is so soft & comfortable for daily wear, I love its 1940s charm. I accessorized this look with my husbands Great Grandmothers Vintage Beret, a Besame Lipstick Brooch, & 1940s T Strap Heels. This is definitely a look I would wear casually out & about, because it is so comfy & chic, you could style it with some classic 40s oxfords like Katherine Hepburn
